Fantastic Transcripts is a fantastic place to
work. We offer a casual work environment in our downtown Boston offices.
We also offer great flexibility in scheduling - work when you want to - and the
Pepsi is free.
With Suffolk University and Emerson College only a block away, our part-time jobs
are perfect for mature students with typing and transcription skills.
Our central location at the intersection of five transit lines also makes us easy
to get to from just about anywhere in the metropolitan area.
You must type a minimum of 60 words per minute, transcribe a minimum of 35
words per minute, be comfortable using a computer, and you must pass a
transcription aptitude test taken in our offices. We pay $10 to $12 to start, and
overtime after 40 hours if we really get busy.
Our office is standardized on Windows XP and Microsoft Word 2000 with
docments saved in the Word 95 format standard.

We are always interested in hearing from experienced transcriptionists to work
on a sub-contract, freelance basis from your home or office.
When contacting us, please let us know what you charge to transcribe an hour's
worth of audio because this is how we charge our clients.
To figure out your per hour of audio charge, estimate how long it usually takes
you to transcribe an hour of audio and then multiply that number by what
an hour of your time is worth.
